Job Description

FSN is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. The SLP is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This role works across a variety of patient populations, including adults and/or pediatrics, to support recovery and improve quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Provide therapy to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
  • Perform bedside swallow evaluations and recommend dietary modifications.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and exercises.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.
  • Participate in discharge planning and continuity-of-care coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility.
  • Strong knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Shift & Schedule:

  • Day shift: 5x8 or 4x10
