Sonographer – Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist
Job Description
FSN is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer – Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound and vascular imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accurate results for physician interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies (arterial & venous)
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and image quality
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams, and address questions or concerns
- Analyze images to ensure completeness and diagnostic quality before submission
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the hospital’s EHR system
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Current certification from ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or equivalent
- Additional vascular credential (RVT) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working as an Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist in a hospital setting
Shift & Schedule:
- Day shift: 5x8 or 4x10
