Art Therapist
Job Description
FSN is seeking a compassionate Art Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will facilitate individual and group art therapy sessions for patients coping with acute illnesses, trauma, and mental health challenges. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and psychologists to develop holistic treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop personalized, trauma-informed art therapy treatment plans.
- Facilitate engaging, goal-oriented individual and group art therapy sessions using diverse mediums (painting, sculpting, drawing, etc.).
- Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation and track patient progress in the hospital’s electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the broader hospital healthcare team to provide comprehensive, integrated patient care.
- Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support for patients and their families.
- Master’s degree in Art Therapy or Counseling with an expressive/creative arts therapy specialization from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a practicing art therapist in a hospital setting
- Certifications/Licensure:
- Active credentialing by the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATR, ATR-BC).
- Valid state licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) is strongly preferred.
Shift & Schedule:
- Day shift: 5x8
