Position Overview:
As an RRT with FSN, you will provide advanced respiratory care in acute and critical care settings, supporting patients across all ages. Your expertise will be vital in managing complex respiratory conditions, responding swiftly to emergencies, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through personalized care and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate, manage, and wean patients from mechanical ventilation in ICU and acute care environments, adjusting ventilator settings based on physician orders and patient response.
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, and capnography to assess respiratory function and guide treatment adjustments.
- Administer aerosolized medications, bronchodilators, mucolytics, and perform chest physiotherapy and airway clearance techniques for adult and pediatric patients.
- Respond promptly to rapid response and code blue situations, providing airway management, including assistance with intubation, BVM ventilation, and CPR.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive respiratory care plans.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an acute or critical care hospital setting.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential is preferred if applicable.
Work Schedule:
- Night shift: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
- Day shift: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
