Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a Pediatric Respiratory Care Team. In this role, you will provide specialized respiratory care to infants, children, and adolescents in a hospital setting, including critical care units such as NICU and PICU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, treat, and monitor pediatric patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders
  • Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and airway clearance techniques
  • Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation (including neonatal and pediatric ventilators)
  • Participate in emergency response teams, including pediatric code blue and rapid response
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function testing, and pulse oximetry
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on respiratory care plans and equipment use
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a pediatric intensive care
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.
  • Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential strongly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required.
  • Exceptional clinical skills in managing pediatric respiratory conditions and ventilator management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Shift & Schedule:

  • Night shift: 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
