Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide specialized respiratory care in the NICU. This role requires a compassionate healthcare professional with a strong clinical background in neonatal respiratory support, ready to deliver exceptional care to premature and critically ill neonates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory support to neonates, including conventional ventilation, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), high-flow nasal cannula, and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation.
- Administer neonatal-specific therapies such as surfactant, inhaled nitric oxide, and other advanced respiratory interventions, following neonatologist orders.
- Monitor neonatal respiratory status through transcutaneous CO₂/O₂ monitoring, pulse oximetry, and blood gas analysis to optimize ventilator management.
- Participate in delivery room resuscitations, providing immediate airway management and stabilization during transitions of care.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of neonatal respiratory care and safety.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a NICU or neonatal respiratory care setting.
- Current NBRC credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
- Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- Excellent clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Shift & Schedule:
- Night shifts: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
