Registered Nurse – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

FSN is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team. In this role, you will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening medical conditions, utilizing advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and a patient-centered approach. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor critically ill patients
  • Administer medications, including IV drips, vasopressors, and sedation, per physician orders
  • Manage and monitor life-support equipment such as ventilators, CRRT, and cardiac monitors
  • Interpret vital signs, lab results, and cardiac rhythms to identify changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists
  • Provide direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and care plans
  • Respond rapidly to emergencies, including code situations
  • Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU or critical care experience in a hospital setting
  • Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations
  • Current and valid Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, compassion, and excellent communication abilities.

Shift & Schedule:

  • Night shifts: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.
