Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float

FSN is seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care Float to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple critical care units, including ICU, CVICU, MICU, SICU, and step-down units as needed. This position is ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional care to critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide direct nursing care for critically ill or post-procedural patients.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic data.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments.
• Operate advanced medical equipment (ventilators, telemetry monitors, infusion pumps).
• Assist with procedures and interventions specific to assigned specialty (e.g., cardiac procedures, post-op recovery).
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions, procedures, and recovery plans.
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, including emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
• BLS certification
• 2+ years of acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Strong clinical, assessment, and critical thinking skills.

Shift & Schedule:

• Night shift: 3x12
