MRI Technologist
Job Description
FSN is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and experienced in working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of MRI procedures using established protocols
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring comfort and safety
- Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety (e.g., implants, contraindications)
- Operate MRI equipment and adjust technical parameters for optimal image quality
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions
- Administer contrast media in accordance with protocols and physician orders
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure accurate diagnosis
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR/PACS systems
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, infection control policies, and regulatory requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification (RT) with MRI certification (ARRT-MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based MRI experience.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and protocols
Shift & Schedule:
- Night shift: 5x8.5 hours
