Job Description

FSN is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care to join our dedicated ICU team. In this role, you will provide advanced, patient-centered care to critically ill individuals in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor complex conditions
  • Manage ventilators, invasive lines, and advanced life-support equipment
  • Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips, and deliver advanced therapies
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status or emergencies
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and care plans
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in acute care in a hospital setting or an acute care facility of similar size and level as a hospital
  • Previous EPIC and level 1 or 2 trauma experience
  • Strong clinical, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
