Job Description

FSN is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced Emergency Department team. In this role, you will provide urgent and critical care to infants, children, and adolescents presenting with a wide range of medical conditions and traumatic injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide rapid assessment, triage, and treatment of pediatric patients in the emergency department
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in urgent and critical situations
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions
  • Assist in trauma resuscitations and emergency procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ED experience, adult ED experience a plus
  • Must have strong triage skills and be formally triage trained
  • Strong clinical, assessment, and critical thinking skills.

Shift: 

  • Night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
