Registered Nurse – Outpatient Clinic Hematology/Oncology
FSN is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Clinic team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment and managing hematologic conditions. The RN will support treatment administration, patient education, symptom management, and coordination of care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient clinical setting
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects and adverse reactions
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage clinical concerns
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
- Coordinate care with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Manage central lines, ports, and other infusion devices
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Assist with scheduling, follow-ups, and care navigation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including chemotherapy handling protocols
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required in oncology, hematology, infusion, or medical-surgical nursing
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
Shift & Schedule:
- Day shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
