Job Description

FSN is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our psychiatric and behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges while helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. This position is ideal for a flexible and dependable CNA who excels in fast-paced settings and is committed to delivering patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility
  • Monitor and document patient behaviors, mood changes, and vital signs
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment by observing and reporting changes in patient condition
  • Support de-escalation efforts following facility protocols
  • Assist patients in attending group therapy and activities
  • Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, organized, and safe
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies
  • Provide emotional support and maintain professional boundaries

Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Previous experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or healthcare setting required
  • Strong observation and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
