FSN is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our specialized psychiatric and behavioral health team. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and supervision as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor, assess, and accurately document patient conditions, behaviors, and responses to interventions to ensure optimal care planning.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence where possible.
- Observe for changes in mental status, mood, or behavior and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
- Maintain a safe, calming, and structured environment for patients and staff, supporting therapeutic outcomes.
- Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation, following facility protocols and safety procedures.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning to ensure comprehensive treatment approaches.
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory policies.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards to protect patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Prior experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or acute care setting is required.
- Strong clinical judgment, observational skills, and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and focused in high-stress or crisis situations.
