Sonographer – Ultrasound/Vascular Tech

Position Overview:
FSN is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer – Ultrasound/Vascular Tech to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound and vascular examinations, support accurate diagnoses, and provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, including general, OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts, and vascular studies, following established protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform non-invasive vascular assessments, including arterial, venous, carotid, and ankle-brachial index (ABI) testing.
  • Prioritize patient safety, comfort, and education throughout each procedure, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring healthcare providers to support timely and precise interpretation of imaging results.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, manage imaging records efficiently, and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in optimizing workflow, scheduling, and participating in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and pursue ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Current ARDMS credentials in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN), and/or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Previous hospital or outpatient imaging experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

Shift & Schedule:

  • Evening shift, 5 days per week with 8-hour shifts.
