Radiologic Technologist - Cardiovascular
FSN is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in diagnostic imaging within cardiovascular or interventional settings, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient safety, exceptional quality care, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precise diagnostic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures for cardiovascular patients, ensuring high-quality results.
- Assist cardiologists and physicians during complex procedures such as catheterization, angiography, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional cardiovascular interventions.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes, addressing concerns, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment in accordance with established safety protocols and standards.
- Monitor radiation exposure levels diligently, adhering to all radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal imaging while minimizing radiation dose, demonstrating attention to detail.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation of patient records, procedural details, and imaging results.
- Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to deliver seamless, patient-centered care.
- Recognize and respond promptly to emergency situations or adverse events during procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT(R) registration.
- Valid State Radiologic Technologist license.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with prior experience in a cardiovascular, catheterization lab, or interventional radiology setting highly preferred.
Shift & Schedule:
- Day shifts: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
