Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

FSN is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. This full-time role is ideal for experienced night shift RNs specializing in adult emergency care, with the opportunity to float to Pediatric ED as needed. The ER RN plays a vital role in delivering prompt, high-quality care to patients experiencing acute illnesses or injuries in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct rapid triage and thorough patient assessments upon arrival to prioritize care effectively.
  • Provide immediate emergency nursing interventions for a wide range of conditions, including trauma, cardiac emergencies, and critical illnesses.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
  • Continuously monitor patient status, promptly responding to any changes and ensuring patient stability.
  • Assist physicians with emergency procedures, resuscitation efforts, and use of emergency medical equipment (defibrillators, monitors, ventilators, etc.).
  • Coordinate patient care processes including facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure seamless patient flow.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding care plans, procedures, and follow-up instructions to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Document all patient interactions and care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Adhere strictly to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience caring for adult and pediatric patients in emergency or critical care settings.
  • Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and multitasking skills in high-pressure situations.

Shift:

  • Day shift, 12- hour shifts
