Surgical/Operating Room Technician

Position Summary:
FSN is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical/Operating Room Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you'll support surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care for both adult and pediatric patients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary equipment to ensure readiness for procedures.
  • Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, supplies, and anticipating their needs promptly.
  • Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control protocols throughout all surgical activities.
  • Handle, count, and track surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies to uphold patient safety standards.
  • Aid in patient positioning and preparation prior to surgery, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Perform post-operative cleanup of operating rooms, including proper disposal of biohazard materials.
  • Manage inventory, report supply and equipment needs, and assist in maintaining necessary stock levels.
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure seamless procedures and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Current CST or TS-C certification 
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a level 1 or level 2 trauma center
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Shift & Schedule:

  • Day and Evening shifts available
  • 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
