FSN is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to become a vital part of our interdisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will assess and develop personalized treatment plans to improve residents’ functional abilities and quality of life. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify residents' needs and strengths.
- Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to each resident’s unique circumstances.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, sensory processing, mobility, and adaptive functioning.
- Recommend, evaluate, and train residents and staff in the use of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications to promote independence.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, psychologists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and support staff to coordinate care.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights to support comprehensive resident care plans.
- Monitor and document resident progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
- Provide training and consultation to caregivers and support staff on therapeutic techniques and best practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical interventions, maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Support residents in achieving their highest possible level of independence and community engagement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the State of Texas, with proof of ongoing Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
- Current CPR certification.
- Malpractice and liability insurance (if applicable).
- Minimum of two years of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to care.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Shift & Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
