Overview:
FSN is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our expanding Ambulatory Urology team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a dynamic outpatient setting. The ideal candidate possesses strong clinical assessment skills, outpatient nursing experience, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through comprehensive care coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, triage calls, and evaluate symptoms to determine appropriate clinical interventions.
- Provide clear and comprehensive patient education on urologic conditions, treatment options, medications, and postoperative instructions.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
- Assist with office-based urologic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after treatments.
- Review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results, communicating findings accurately as directed by providers.
- Handle medication refills, prior authorizations, and address prescription-related inquiries efficiently.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Monitor patient outcomes, proactively identify opportunities for quality improvement, and contribute to best practices.
- Respond to patient concerns via phone triage and electronic communications, providing expert clinical guidance.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, safety protocols, infection prevention policies, and organizational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, comparable to a hospital environment.
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Shift & Schedule:
- Day shifts, 5 days per week, 8 hours per shift.
