Licensed Practical Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Department

FSN is actively seeking an experienced, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality pediatric emergency care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to pediatric patients in the emergency department.
  • Obtain, document, and interpret vital signs, medical histories, and clinical assessments accurately.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments within the scope of practice, ensuring patient safety.
  • Monitor patient conditions continuously and report any changes promptly to supervising nurses and healthcare providers.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, diagnostic tests, and various patient care interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure all care activities adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
  • Offer emotional support and reassurance to pediatric patients and their families during stressful emergency situations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid State issued LPN license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience in emergency, urgent care, or acute care settings.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced environments with professionalism and compassion.

Work Schedule:

  • Evening shifts, 12-hour shifts
