Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a patient assignment of 4–6 telemetry patients, utilizing cardiac monitoring to detect and respond to rhythm changes promptly.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments while closely monitoring for adverse reactions.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including case management, social work, and therapy—to coordinate safe and timely discharge planning.
  • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, medications, dietary restrictions, and follow-up care to promote understanding and reduce readmission risk.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience.
  • Valid Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Medical-Surgical Certified Registered Nurse (CMSRN) certification is a plus.

Shift & Schedule:

  • Night shifts: Three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00pm to 07:30am
