Position Details:
- Duration: 6-week assignment
- Guarantee of 40 hours per week
- Specialty: Oncology
- Equipment Expertise: Experience with Elekta Linear Accelerators is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed radiation treatments to oncology patients utilizing advanced linear accelerators, including techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS.
- Accurately position patients using immobilization devices and image guidance (IGRT/CBCT); verify treatment isocenter prior to each session to ensure precise delivery.
- Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, document treatment parameters daily, and communicate any changes to the radiation oncologist promptly.
- Perform routine quality assurance (QA) checks on treatment delivery equipment to maintain accuracy, safety, and compliance with institutional protocols.
- Maintain thorough documentation of treatments, patient responses, and equipment checks to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical radiation therapy experience, specifically in oncology.
- ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy certification is required.
- Valid state licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Proficiency with linear accelerators and advanced radiation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
