Position Overview
FSN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Telemetry experience to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled clinician with a strong background in cardiac monitoring, acute patient care, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This role requires excellent critical thinking abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Interpret and monitor telemetry rhythms, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations and participate in code responses as needed.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Mentor and support new nurses and assist with unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years recent Telemetry nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, cardiac medications, and telemetry equipment.
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
