Position Overview:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with FSN, you will play a vital role in performing advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Our team relies on your expertise in preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating sophisticated imaging equipment, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with prescribed dosages, safety protocols, and regulatory standards, including NRC and state requirements.
  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging studies such as planar, SPECT, and PET/CT scans, including cardiac stress tests, bone scans, thyroid evaluations, and oncologic assessments.
  • Operate gamma cameras, PET/CT scanners, dose calibrators, and related equipment, ensuring daily quality control procedures are accurately completed and documented.
  • Monitor patients during and after procedures for adverse reactions, providing immediate care and ensuring radiation safety precautions are maintained.
  • Coordinate image acquisition timing with referring clinicians to facilitate accurate diagnoses and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety standards, including radiation protection and infection control protocols.
  • Document procedures, equipment performance, and patient interactions meticulously to support regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine imaging experience in hospital or outpatient settings.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT (N) or CNMT) is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • State licensure as mandated by local regulations.
  • PET certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling, imaging procedures, and radiation safety measures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule & Shift:

  • Day shift, five days per week, with 8-hour shifts.
