Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) unit. This role offers an engaging environment where you will deliver exceptional patient care, focusing on cardiac monitoring and patient education. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments while vigilantly monitoring for adverse reactions to ensure patient safety.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record for seamless communication among care teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including case management, social work, and therapy—to coordinate safe, efficient discharge planning.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, medications, dietary restrictions, and follow-up care to enhance understanding and reduce readmission risks.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and ensure quality standards are met consistently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Valid Compact RN license for immediate portability and practice flexibility.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Certification as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) is a plus.

Shift:

• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (including potential rotating weekends and holidays)

Compensation:

• Starting rate at $46.50 per hour, with a weekend differential increasing pay to $48.36 per hour.
