Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, with a focus on cardiac monitoring, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a patient load of 4–6 telemetry patients, utilizing cardiac monitoring tools to promptly detect and respond to rhythm changes or anomalies.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments, monitoring patients for adverse reactions to ensure safety.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams—including case management, social work, and therapy—to coordinate safe and efficient discharge planning.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, medication regimens, dietary restrictions, and follow-up care to enhance understanding and promote positive health outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing.
• Valid Compact RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Certified Registered Nurse (CMSRN) certification is a plus.
