Registered Nurse – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our MICU team. This full-time position offers a challenging and rewarding environment where your expertise can make a real difference in patient outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and implementing treatment plans.
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for accurate charting, documentation, and communication.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify patient care strategies.
- Assess patient conditions continuously to identify changes and respond accordingly.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and health management.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
Shift Details:
- 4 days per week, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience working in a MICU or Critical Care setting..
- EPIC EMR experience is required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates within 75 miles are not eligible.
