Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Adult)

Are you a dedicated registered nurse with a passion for fast-paced emergency medicine? We are seeking a skilled ER RN to provide critical care to adult patients in a dynamic environment. This is your opportunity to work with a compassionate team committed to delivering excellence in emergency services.

Scheduling & Shifts:

• 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM alternating with 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM shifts, 13-week contract
• Every Other Weekend Shift
• Available to work every other holiday, as needed

Location Policy:

• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local RNs are not eligible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adult patients across a broad spectrum of urgent and critical conditions.
• Manage complex clinical situations including trauma, neuro-critical conditions, cardiac emergencies, and pediatric emergencies.
• Perform IV therapies, including blood product administration, central line management, phlebotomy, and IV vasopressor support.
• Operate ventilators, monitor cardiovascular status, and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Implement isolation precautions, triage patients efficiently, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Respond promptly to acute needs such as gunshot wounds, orthopedic trauma, stroke (CVA), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, and TBI.

Required Certifications & Skills:

• Valid RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Proven experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Strong clinical skills in IV therapy, ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and emergency protocols
• Competency in pediatric and adult emergency scenarios, including trauma and critical care

Unit Details & Flexibility:

• Patient ratios: 1 RN to 5 patients, caring for adults and geriatrics with a variety of emergency diagnoses
• Utilization of specialized equipment such as Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling devices
• Ability to float within the ER unit based on skillset and operational needs
