Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Adult)

Join our team as a dedicated Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse and be at the forefront of critical patient care. This position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your skills make a real difference in patients' lives.

Position Details:**

• Shift Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM, alternating every two weeks with 3 PM – 3 AM shifts for a total of 13 weeks. The rotation includes two weeks of evenings followed by two weeks of nights.
• Charting System: Experience with EPIC electronic health records is required.
• Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend work is expected. Candidates must be available to work every other holiday as needed.
• Location Eligibility: Only nurses residing more than 75 miles from the facility are eligible; local RNs are accepted for LPN roles.

Qualifications & Certifications:**

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Clinical Skills & Competencies:**

• Proficiency in IV therapy, including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV maintenance (vasopressors indicated).
• Ventilator management, including CPAP/BiPAP settings.
• Stroke management (CVA), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI care.
• Cardiac monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Emergency care experience across adult and pediatric populations, including trauma cases such as gunshot wounds and orthopedic injuries.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, triage procedures, and pediatric spinal cord injury management.

Unit Environment & Equipment:**

• Patient ratios are maintained at 1:5, caring for adults and geriatrics with diverse emergency conditions.
• Equipment includes Bair Hugger warming systems, rapid infusers, and safe patient handling devices.
• Floating is required within your scope of expertise to meet patient care needs.
