In this role, you will deliver high-quality patient care in both rehab and inpatient Med Surg settings, ensuring the safety and comfort of all patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care in an acute care setting with minimal supervision, following established protocols and care plans.
• Welcome patients, escort them to exam rooms, and prepare examination areas to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Assist during exams by preparing trays for injections, measuring and recording vital signs, and supporting procedures such as Paps and injections.
• Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and clinical areas to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
• Support physicians during patient assessments and procedures.
• Administer injections and assist with other clinical tasks under the supervision of RNs and physicians.
• Perform routine administrative duties including reception, appointment scheduling, and chart preparation.
• Facilitate communication with insurance companies for authorizations related to physical therapy, imaging (MRI, CT), and surgery.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians to obtain referrals for new or continuing patient care.
• Use Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems proficiently to document patient information accurately.
• Observe patient responses to treatments and promptly report any reactions or concerns.
• Participate in unit management activities and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid and current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Shift & Schedule:

• Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
