Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical and Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit. This vital role offers the chance to deliver exceptional patient care, focusing on cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and patient education within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a patient caseload of 4–6 telemetry patients, utilizing cardiac monitoring to detect and respond to rhythm changes promptly and effectively.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision, closely observing for adverse reactions.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately within electronic health records to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including case management, social work, and therapy—to facilitate safe, efficient discharge planning.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, medications, dietary restrictions, and follow-up care to promote understanding and reduce readmission risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing.
- Valid Compact RN license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) is a plus.
Shift & Schedule:
- Night shift: Three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
