Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Join our team in the Progressive Care Unit, where you'll provide essential care to intermediate-acuity patients, many of whom are transitioning from intensive care environments. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage patients with intermediate acuity, including those on continuous cardiac telemetry, IV infusions, and supplemental oxygen.
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clinical deterioration, initiating escalation protocols or rapid response measures promptly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—such as physical therapy, case management, and physicians—to ensure safe mobilization, effective discharge planning, and continuity of care.
• Administer medications, wound care, respiratory treatments, and other nursing interventions while ensuring accurate documentation.
• Maintain an optimal patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 3–4 patients to ensure attentive, personalized care.
• Uphold hospital policies and safety standards while providing compassionate, individualized attention to each patient.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive care experience in a hospital setting.
• Valid and current Compact RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications—required.
• PCCN certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.

Shift & Schedule:

• Night shifts: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 pm – 7:30 am), providing a balanced work-life schedule.
