Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

FSN is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and continuously monitor critically ill patients to detect changes in condition.
• Administer medications safely, including IV infusions, vasopressors, sedatives, and other critical drugs, in accordance with physician orders.
• Manage and operate life-support systems such as ventilators, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and cardiac monitors.
• Interpret vital signs, laboratory results, and cardiac rhythms to inform clinical decisions.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Provide direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility assistance, and comfort measures.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and care plans to promote understanding and engagement.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, including code scenarios, ensuring patient safety.
• Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR), maintaining compliance with hospital policies and standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or critical care experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated strong clinical judgment, prioritization skills, and effective communication.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-stress situations.
• Current and valid Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Exceptional clinical assessment skills, compassion, and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Shift & Schedule:

• Night shifts: Three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
