Position Overview:
As a Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse, you will deliver expert, compassionate care to patients undergoing complex cancer treatments. Your expertise will help guide patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery phases, ensuring they receive safe, evidence-based care tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients receiving systemic therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments.
• Monitor and manage adverse reactions like neutropenia, extravasation, and other treatment-related complications.
• Assess and alleviate symptoms including nausea, pain, mucositis, and fatigue through appropriate nursing interventions.
• Maintain and care for central venous access devices (e.g., PICCs, ports, tunneled catheters), following established protocols.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary oncology team to develop and adjust personalized care plans.
• Offer emotional support and patient education, guiding individuals and their families through diagnosis, treatment options, and care goals.
• Document care activities accurately while adhering to safety, infection control, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology or medical-surgical nursing.
• Valid Compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential is preferred.
• Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification (ONS) preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, compassionate nature, and excellent communication abilities.

Shift & Schedule:

• Night shifts: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.
