Overview
As an ER Registered Nurse, you will deliver urgent, high-quality care to adult patients with diverse emergency conditions. Your critical skills will directly influence patient outcomes in a fast, team-focused setting that values your dedication and adaptability.
Schedule
- Evening shifts, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 3pm to 3am.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate, evidence-based nursing care to adults experiencing emergencies such as trauma, stroke, neurotrauma, and cardiac events.
- Utilize your expertise to perform IV therapy, including blood product administration, central line care, and blood draws.
- Manage ventilators, including setting and monitoring CPAP/BiPAP devices.
- Conduct accurate patient assessment and prioritize care using triage procedures.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize signs of dysrhythmias to inform urgent interventions.
- Support patients with diverse needs, including pediatric trauma cases and infectious precautions.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the healthcare team, floating within your scope to meet evolving care demands.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the practicing state.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Proficiency in IV therapy, blood product transfusions, and central line management.
- Experience managing ventilators and caring for patients with stroke, neurotrauma, or spinal injuries.
- Ability to interpret cardiac monitoring and respond appropriately.
- Previous emergency care experience with adult and pediatric patients, including trauma cases.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records.
- Knowledge of pediatric emergency protocols and isolation procedures.
- Additional certifications or specialized training in emergency or trauma nursing.
