Position Overview:

As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring smooth and efficient procedures. Your precision, attention to detail, and proactive approach will directly contribute to positive patient outcomes and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and prepare sterile fields for surgical procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgeons with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain sterile techniques throughout procedures to prevent infections.
  • Assist with the positioning and draping of patients.
  • Ensure all surgical equipment and supplies are properly maintained and functioning.
  • Adhere to safety standards and hospital policies at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons, to facilitate seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization techniques, and infection control practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Shift:

  • Day shift: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
