Job Description

FSN is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technician / Technologist to join our hospital laboratory team. This role is responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory tests to assist in patient diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, maintain accuracy under pressure, and adhere to quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests across multiple disciplines such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank.
  • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability before reporting.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
  • Collect, process, and handle patient specimens according to established protocols.
  • Maintain strict compliance with infection control, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards.
  • Document test results in laboratory information systems (LIS) accurately and timely.
  • Perform quality control procedures and calibration of equipment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Stay up to date with laboratory best practices and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, OSHA).

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s degree (Technician) or bachelor’s degree (Technologist) in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Certification as MLT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), or equivalent (or eligibility to obtain certification).
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and safety practices.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Laboratory Technician in a hospital setting
Shift & Schedule:
  • Day shift: 5x8 or 4x10
