Licensed Practical Nurse
Job Description
FSN is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team. The LPN provides direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians, supporting high-quality care and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily patient care needs.
- Observe and report changes in patient conditions to the supervising RN or physician.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Perform basic wound care, dressing changes, and specimen collection.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient outcomes.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state issued Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
