FSN is Seeking a Compassionate Mental Health Therapy Aide!
Join our behavioral health team in Syracuse as a Mental Health Therapy Aide. This role is critical in providing therapeutic assistance and maintaining a safe environment for patients in psychiatric and behavioral health settings.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Certification/Licenses: Current CPR certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of1 year in mental health settings.
- Direct psychiatric/behavioral health experience required.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proven collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic support and crisis intervention.
- Monitor patient safety and behavior during evening shifts.
- Assist with group activities and daily therapeutic programs.
- Document patient interactions and report changes to clinical staff.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment consistent with facility protocols.
