Physician Assistant
Job Description
FSN is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our clinical team. The PA will work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions under physician supervision.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Assist in procedures and surgeries as required by the department.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and preventive care.
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current and valid Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification.
- Active state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Minimum of 2 years working as a PA in a hospital setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making ability.
Shift & Schedule:
- Day shit: 5x8 or 4x10
